From the Liszt Ferenc Airport, Budapest

Bus 100E regularly departs from the Airport and stops at Deák Ferenc square which is at a 12 minute walk from the venue. You can get the bus at the stop located between the Terminals A and B. You can buy your bus ticket at the vending machine near the stop. It costs 900 HUF (you can pay by Hungarian Forint or bank card). At Deák Ferenc square you can take bus 105, after two stops get off at Széchenyi István square; the Academy will be in front of you. A ticket costs 350 HUF (1 €) that is worth being purchased also at the airport.
If you wish to take a taxi from the airport, you can book one at Főtaxi’s kiosk in front of the building. The fare would cost approximately 7,000 HUF (22 €). You are strongly recommended not to choose other taxi driver since the so-called „taxi-hienas” can make you pay sometimes even 4 fold fares!

Arriving by car

Availability for on-street parking in the area is limited and must be paid for between the hours of 8am and 6pm.

There are several multilevel, 24-hour parking garages in downtown Budapest, such as:
Bazilika Mélygarázs (HUF 500 /hour) – Sas street, Pest, District 5
Erzsébet Mélygarázs (HUF 400 /hour) – Erzsébet square, Pest, District 5
Lipót Garázs (HUF 200 /30 minutes) – Széchenyi street, Pest, District 5

Arriving by train

From Nyugati Pályaudvar (Western Railway station) take the Metro line 3 (ticket can be purchased at the vending machines placed at the station for 350 HUF, 1 €) and get off at Arany János street from where the venue is at a 10 minute walk.
From Keleti Pályaudvar (Eastern Railway station) take the Metro line 2 (ticket can be purchased at the vending machines placed at the station for 350 HUF, 1 €) and get off at Kossuth Lajos square from where the venue is at an 8 minute walk.


Budapest has a great variety of accommodation that you can choose from. For your convenience we collected several offers that are close to the venue, however, we suggest that you complete your booking with the hotel of your choice as soon as possible as places in the downtown tends to fill up quickly.
